Pickles have feelings too

Today I will be talking about Season 3, Episode 3 of Rick and Morty: Pickle Rick. This is considered to be one of the most iconic Rick and Morty Episodes, getting a star studded rating of the 7th best episode of the series by Den of Geek. The basic plot of the episode is that Rick turns himself into a pickle to avoid going to family therapy, and various silly hijinks ensue. As the episode begins and Rick explains his new identity as a pickle to Morty and the rest of the family, Beth takes the anti-pickle serum that he was planning on injecting himself with after everyone left for therapy, leaving Rick defenseless and lost as a pickle. Once Morty, Summer, and Beth have left for therapy (Jerry is out of the picture for now…), Rick embarks on a journey of his own to retrieve the anti-pickle serum, killing various insects, rats, and elite russian agents on the way. Eventually, Rick makes it to the therapy session, undoes all the progress that was made while he was gone, and gets turned back into a human, hurrah! Here are the reasons as to why I thoroughly enjoyed this episode:

  1. Rick makes a human supersuit/iron man suit out of dead insect and rat parts

  2. Living as a tiny pickle in a tiny rat suit, Rick manages to brutally take out an entire force of russian agents and explode an entire mansion

    1. Going off of this, we get a mini action movie plot!

  3. We get a fabulous and creative russian folks tale out of this. Long live solen’ya

  Hello everyone, Today I will be writing about how the latest season of Rick and Morty just ended. I have not seen a single episode from season 6. I feel like now that it’s ended there is a potential for it to be available on hulu. However, I now worry that if season 6 of Rick and Morty were to become available to me that I would no longer watch it. In the time I have spent trying to distract myself from my lack of Rick and Morty, I have found various other shows to entertain me. I care less about Rick and Morty now, which is kind of sad. I would definitely still watch the show if it became available on hulu, but I fear that I may not watch it with the same passion and fervor that I once did. I just finished watching The White Lotus and Regular Show, so maybe I will use the time I dedicated to watching those shows for Rick and Morty now.   Hello everyone, I will not be reviewing an episode of Rick and Morty today, but will instead be discussing the popular song and dance that was created as a result of the show by Soulja Boy. The song opens with the lyrics “Rick and morty rick and morty rick rick rick rick rick rick and morty rick and morty…”. The song is very short, spanning a total of 2 minutes and 32 seconds and made up of the chorus “rick and morty” and two short verses with very simple lyrics that almost seem freestyle. Along with being an absolutely underrated and chill banger of a song, “Rick and Morty” also has a popular TikTok dance that goes along with it. The TikTok dance consists of doing the smeeze to the beat of the song continuously until the video ends. The only risk of the Rick and Morty dance trend is missing the beat, which many people have done. Silly Old Man Travels the Universe with a Young Boy?

  Okay so before we get into an analysis of the show, I will give a quick summary of the plot! Rick and Morty follows the silly, tear jerking adventures of a neglectful, super genius grandpa by the name of Rick Sanchez and his grandson, Morty. The show begins with Rick showing up to his daughters home after 20 years of being gone, ready to move in and be a part of the family again! Beth, Rick's daughter with severe daddy issues and probably some fear of abandonment, welcomes her father back into her life with open arms while her husband, Jerry, is extremely suspicious of him and how he could change their family dynamic. As expected, Rick causes quite the ruckus in the family home, renovating the garage into his own personal science lab. Morty, an extremely anxious and lonely child that is desperate to get the validation that his family denies him, decides to turn to his beloved grandpa Rick and join him on his silly science adventures.
